I'm still in shock, but the Union Titans are heading to the Tacoma Dome!! We beat Mount Rainier 76-75! It was truly an amazing game! We trailed nearly the entire game and were even down 17 with a minute to go in the third quarter! We were down 9 with about about 4 minutes to go in the game. I can't remember how it all played out exactly(unlike my husband, who remembers every play exactly, even from his college games :)), but we were down one point with 4 seconds to go, when one of our players got fouled. He made both free throws to put us ahead by one, and Mount Rainier drove down, but didn't get a shot off. I'm still not sure how he made those 2 free throws under that intense pressure. I know I never would have. I can still remember(and my dad periodically reminds me) back when I had to shoot 2 free throws at the end of a b-ball game in middle school. Of course, I missed! I've never gotten over it!

So, now we actually have to make a stop in Puyallup next weekend to play a seeding tournament for state. The state tournament begins on March 11th! Wouldn't it be amazing if we got to the state championship game? Even if we don't, we've gotten much further than anyone imagined from a team that went 5 and 15 just last year!! Go, Titans!!!
