Today we participated in the 5th Annual Walk to Remember, in honor of babies gone too soon and especially our son, Josiah. One of my former student's mom, Sonya, puts on the wonderful event each year in memory of the two children that she's lost.
We were happy that Yaya, Papa, Sittee, Cousin Susan, Auntie Kelly, & my friends/co-workers "Auntie" Becky & "Auntie" Patti joined us this year! We felt so loved and supported by each person that came to honor Josiah with us. We are also thankful for those of you that couldn't be with us at the walk today, but support and love us as well!![]()

"Auntie" Patti & "Auntie" Becky with Mia
Auntie Kelly made a frame for Mia.
Mia loved her Big Brother frame.
Sittee made a frame, too!
Mia's listening intently to all the names of lost babies being read aloud! Last year, when they read Josiah's name, she gave a big kick inside my belly! It was a moment I'll treasure forever!
Mia wore her "My Big Brother is an Angel in Heaven" shirt in honor of Josiah. She's eating her necklace that says, "I am walking for.....Josiah Anthony Hamilton".( Click here or here to purchase wonderful pregnancy and infant loss memory items, including the T-shirt. I love these sites! They sell many great things!
Mia's getting ready to release her balloon to her big brother in Heaven!
Watching the balloons float away to all the little angels!
This was a very special day for our family, and we were happy to include Mia this year. October is infant & pregnancy loss month. This walk is just one way that we can help raise awareness about pregnancy and infant loss. The Walk to Remember is always in October, usually the first or second Sunday of the month. We'd love to have you join us next year!!
PS. On a side note.....My lucky streak continues.......I won a massage in the raffle at the walk!! That's 3 raffles that I've won in the past few months. With my good luck maybe I should try the lottery! Auntie Kelly won a prize in the raffle, too!
