We took Mia to the Blazer fan fest to meet the players with Auntie Kelly and Uncle Ryan last night. She did get to meet #88 Nicolas Batum(a rookie that might not make the team:() We were so close to shaking hands with Greg Oden, but we came in a line over from him. So Kelly and I had this great idea to go back out of the Rose Garden and come back through his line. It would have worked perfectly, except that right as we were walking up to him he left to go down to the court. He must have known we were trying to be sneaky.
There were over 11,000 people here. It's a free event for anyone and everyone. The players greeted the fans at the doors, had a question and answer session, and scrimmaged. There were lots of prizes and kid stuff, too. If you're a Blazer fan or you have kids, you should check it out next year!
Mia in her Blazer gear thanks to her friend Ella!! Although she had to wear a headband so there wouldn't be any confusion. And what happened the exact moment we took off the headband......someone asked us how old HE is!
As you can see from the video below, Mia was having a great time! I'll think we'll have to make this a yearly tradition!
