Ever since I started watching the show, "Little People, Big World", years ago, I've wanted to check out the Roloff Pumpkin Patch in Hillsboro. This year we finally made it happen. We picked a great day, not crowded at all. And it didn't even rain!
Kyrie is ready for his first trip to the pumpkin patch....love this boy! :)
Noah, Josiah, & Mia looking forward to some pumpkins(This was the best picture I could get of the three of them.)
Cuteness!
Matt Roloff was kind enough to stop and chat with us. He was playing with Kyrie and kept saying how curious he was, which is so true. He even asked if we wanted to take a picture with him. Of course Mia didn't want to be in it, but Kyrie didn't mind.
btw...this is the third weekend in a row that I have met a celebrity(well, D list anyway!) Kinda wierd! Must be the Cusack in me.....as in John Cusack!!
Mia really wanted to use the wagon.....of course for herself, not pumpkins.....and we didn't even get any pumpkins.....who does that??? Goes to a pumpkin patch and doesn't even come home with any pumpkins? Guess we'll have to go again with Daddy!
Matt's 50th birthday celebration display! Of course I had to write a message on the poster!
Mia and her friends playing in the teepees!
Haystack climbing time!
There was a petting zoo, pony rides, and a couple exotic animals. Of course, Mia was not too keen on any of them!
Fun House!
Mia and Makai! This kid won't let chivalry die! He helped every girl up the haystack and finds them new pumpkins when their's break. A true gentleman! Way to go, Mommy Janne'! :)
TLC was on site shooting for some upcoming specials. Mia was even playing with her friends in the area where they were shooting, but was the only one that apparently didn't get filmed. Not sure exactly how that happened. Oh well, it's probably a good thing....wouldn't want this early fame going to her head! :)
We took a tractor tour around the property and saw the family house that I've seen so many times on the show, many of other things that Matt has constructed, with a stop at Western Town where we met Matt's parents.
Molly's castle! What girl wouldn't want her daddy to build this for her?
Jacob's tree house!
Matt's parents greeting us at Western Town. They were so sweet and down to earth. Just like they are on the show. It was Matt's 50th birthday the day we went, so his dad was sharing with me that on the way to the hospital 50 years ago, they got into a car accident. I couldn't imagine that happening!
Our gang and Matt's parents!
This sign was hilarious! The house was a scary doll house. Apparently it was the vision of their good friend, Sven(shown on the show), that unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack.
Taia & Mia in front the sheriff's office!
The sheriff sending us on our way!
The Roloff family house!
After only a 30 minute nap on the way to Hillsboro, Kyrie was quite the trooper, loving every minute of the patch!
My beautiful friends, Jenny & Tammi....and Jenny's sweet son, Xavier...just 5 weeks younger than Kyrie!
The kiddos!
My sweet little pumpkins!
Mia Rae Ann....love her! :)
