We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving! We celebrated at Sittee’s house with a few family and friends. It was so yummy! Even with the challenges that we’ve faced, I’m very thankful for all that I have in my life!
Maco made the turkey this year. It’s only the second time he’s made the turkey, and it was very tasty! I made my traditional mashed potatoes as I do for every Thanksgiving! But this year, I decided to make some butter rolls. They are so delicious and easy, so I had to give you the recipe! I seriously could eat about 6 every meal!
Buttery Bread Machine Rolls
1 cup warm milk(70 to 80 degrees) (Please, I have no idea if my milk was this warm! :))
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
4 cups bread flour(I used regular flour for one batch and they were fine.)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
In bread machine pan, put all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select dough setting. When cycle is completed, turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Divide dough into 24 portions. Shape dough into balls. Place in a greased 13 x 9 pan. Cover and let rise in warm place for 15 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-16 minutes or until golden brown.
You have to try these!!! :) ( I’m assuming if you don’t have a bread machine, you can just mix by hand and let rise for about 1 1/2 hours.
My turkey carving hunk!!
Mia has recently decided that she loves everyone(except for Mommy & Daddy of course), so Cousin Michaela has fun holding her now that she’s not so shy!
And of course Mia will do anything to cozy up right next to a baby. Baby Bryton is the lucky(or not so lucky!) one this time!
Mia stealing a hug from Channing!
Cha Cha trying to get one back from Mia, but she’s playing hard to get!
She finally gives in after a long 3 seconds!
The kiddy table! Ready to grub!!
Guess Sittee is a kid at heart because she decided to join the kids!
As you can see, Mia doesn’t like to stay sitting in the chair so much, so she ended up finishing dinner in the high chair with Auntie Eileen.
Watching a movie with “Auntie” Selene!
We feel so blessed and thankful for the health of our family!
Art time!
Uncle Ryan may be Mia’s new favorite person!! All we hear is “Uncle Ryan, Uncle Ryan!!”. Sorry Papa, you’ve been replaced!
Had to end with a picture of the kiss. I think Bryton was probably sick of Mia’s kisses by the end of the night!
And of course I was up at 4:15am doing my traditional shopping with the Moose family on Black Friday! I don’t even really buy anything, but it’s tradition, so I have to go. Maybe next year, I will actually figure out what people want and finish my shopping all in one day. That would be so nice!
Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving! Bring on the Christmas season……and most importantly the Christmas music!!!
