I can't believe that it's already been a month since Mia's first birthday! She's 13 months old! The time is going way too fast! We've had a very busy month and are now getting ready to leave for Costa Rica on Saturday. Mia will be well taken care of by her Sittee while we're away. I hope that we'll be so busy the week will fly by. I know we'll miss her a lot, yet she probably won't even know that we're gone!(update: I'm posting this about 2 weeks late!!!)
Lovin' on Daddy after a big win!
Right at Mia's first birthday she finally starting doing a regular crawl. She still army crawls every once in awhile if she's trying to get somewhere fast.
Nikki, Addison, and Mia at a regional b-ball game!
After the regional championship win!
We stayed up in Tacoma for a week during the regional and state playoffs, so we got to spend some time with my friends, Betsy, Tharen, Janel, & Katie. Mia loved playing with Aaron's easel!
Aaron going in for the big smooch! Or is it the other way around? Do you see how she is pulling him toward her? :) Uh oh!!
Mia and Siri goofing around together.
Watching the boys practice at UPS before their first state b-ball game!
We stayed one night with Maco in the hotel. The one night was good enough. We had to put Mia to sleep in the bathroom(in her portable crib) until we were ready to go to sleep. Then we moved her to the hallway(in the room) :) because I knew I couldn't go a night without using the bathroom. It was quite interesting!
While in Tacoma, we met my friend, Katie, at the play area at the Supermall! Mia got to play with her daughter, Anna. I even got to reconnect with a friend that I grew up with, Heather, and meet her little girls. I hadn't seen her in about 10 years. It was great!
Mia had fun watching the b-ball games at state!!
Maco's friends from Seattle, Brad & Dave, came down to support the team!
The last family b-ball photo of the year. Titans finish 7th in state! I still can't believe it! It was an amazing ride!!
Now that basketball is over Mia gets to hang out with her daddy more!
They both love it!!
Trying to get a picture of her 8 teeth, but not too successful!
Mia enjoys reading, especially upside down!
Mia loves to look outside, especially on sunny days!
Aren't these little Baby Legs the cutest?? Thanks, Amy & Nik(and now little Mira!)
Mia found this brush in her toy basket and just started brushing her hair. It's so interesting to me as to what kids learn. I think I showed her how to use the brush one time, months ago, and I don't use a brush on my hair. So it was weird to me that she knew what to do with it. Then I'll try and teach Mia something a hundred times and she doesn't get it yet. Interesting!!
I started making smoothies with spinach, orange juice, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi and any other fruit you'd like. I know the spinach sounds weird, but you don't even taste it. Try it, you'll see! Mia loves them, and it's a great way to get her to eat her greens.
I have a hard time letting Mia feed herself yogurt, applesauce, and things like that. I know she needs to learn so I'm trying to do it more often. She uses the spoon at first, but this is usually how it ends. :)
We can sometimes do a very little ponytail! She doesn't like to sit still for the length of time it takes to wrap the holder around her thin hair!!
