I know I've already included this picture in a previous post, but I just thought it was even cuter in black and white!

We took a quick trip up to Tacoma for a visit!

While we were there, Betsy took a few pictures of Mia! This picture is my favorite!

Should we be worried?? Mia's already holding hands with a boy at 11 months!!

Obama inauguration 002

What a day in history!! Mia watched the entire inauguration and loved every minute of it!(Unfortunately, I didn't get the best picture.)

Mia has just started walking with the push toy! She really likes it, but she was a little fussy when I tried to get this video because she was hungry. You know how I am, I have to get the shot!(Do

This is one of Mia's favorite pastimes now. She is constantly pulling herself  up on the coffee table. She loves to "cruise" around it, especially if she's trying to get to the rocks or the candy dish. We'll see how long they both last on our coffee table.  We think it's important to teach Mia that some things are off limits, but it's a little tiresome, and not to mention a choking hazard! And don't worry I'm not going to be a push over and laughing when I'm disciplining, like in the video.

half marathon 016Haley, Jill, and I getting ready to run!

So, about 3 months ago, I had this great idea(thanks to some Baby Boot Camp friends!) that I'd start training to run a half marathon. Well, I trained, and I ran in the Vancouver Lake Half Marathon this past Sunday. Yep, on my birthday and in the snow! As I was standing there, waiting to begin the run and feeling as nervous as could be, I was thinking that this sounded like a much better idea 3 months ago!! Why I decided to run my first(and last!) half marathon in the dead of winter, I'm not so sure! Who's idea was this???(Haley!!!) Well, needless to say, I finished! It was a great accomplishment, but probably the most grueling physical thing I've ever done!(And, yes, childbirth was a piece of cake to this!) My only goal was to run the entire thing, and it took every ounce of my being to do so!  And the "after race" was pretty bad, too! I was out of commission for about 3 hours after the race, basically in the fetal position!(Fun birthday!!) As of now, I don't think I'll run a half marathon again! You never know, but it's not looking promising!! And to all of you that I was pressuring to train for one with me, don't worry, I'll stop! (Someone please remind me of this post when I think I want to do one again!)

Ps. I actually think it might have been a little better if there wasn't snow and slush on the ground and my shoes weren't swimming pools for the entire 13.1 miles.(You'd better believe I'm not leaving that .1 mile out of the total!)

half marathon 013

Haley, Jill, Socorro,(Baby Boot Camp Moms) and  Socorro's husband Corey. Hmmm.......maybe I can get Maco out running with me. Actually, I do remember he said that he'd never run 13 miles in his life..........unless someone was chasing him!! :) half marathon 011

Maco, Mia, and Kelly all came to cheer me on at the finish line! You guys rock!!

half marathon 009

I was pretty much leaning on Mia so I wouldn't fall over. I thought I was going to pass out and my hands were so numb I couldn't even hold her! :)

Wow, Shayna, Mia just keeps getting cuter! I agree with you on teaching them limits... we haven't completely "baby proofed" because I think it's important for them to understand some things are off limits. Did you do something new with your hair? I love it. Watch out, Mia is 1 year soon!!!
