Mia and I did our 8 mile(which was really only 6.2 mile) walk to Albertsons for the big sale today! She did amazingly well! She was in her stroller for almost 2 1/2 hours and didn't mind at all. She is such a good little partner in bargain shopping!
Beginning of our walk!
You're probably wondering how I planned on fitting all of the items in my stroller. Well, I went to Albertsons with the intention of only getting about 10 things. Unfortunately, I didn't read the ad correctly(Mom brain!!), and in order to get the great deal I had to buy 10 items for $10, or 3 for $10, or 5 for $10 and then get the $3 instant savings on each $10 deal.(Confusing I know!) So each of the items in the first deal would only be 70 cents. When reading the ad, I only saw 70 cents and picked out the few things that I needed.
At first I began putting things in the bottom of my stroller, but then I figured out that I had to buy more items, so I got a basket. So, after run/walking 45 minutes to the store I'm trying to push Mia in the stroller, hold the basket, walk aimlessly around Albertsons(I never shop there, so I know where nothing is!), look for the sale items that were sold out, all the while thinking how on earth am I going to fit all of this stuff in the stroller.
After finally figuring out all the different combinations of sale items I bought my items and there was an error. So, I had to go to customer service and get it all fixed. The reason that I'm explaining this big long story that nobody really has time or cares to read, is because I'm trying to figure out if this coupon shopping is all it's cracked up to be! :) It sure was an ordeal!
We managed to fit all of the items(and there were a lot!) but one in the bottom of my stroller. Because she's a great helper, Mia carried a box of cereal. She even fell asleep holding the box on the way home.
Just a little catnap.....once we got home she was ready to play....at least that's what she thought....time for a real nap!
Ok, so now you're probably laughing at this picture and thinking I've gone completely crazy! This is what all the frugal/coupon saving bloggers do. They take pictures of what they purchased and put it on their blog. So if I want to be a true bargain shopper, I must do this too! :) Maybe I just have too much time on my hands!
(I spent about $30 for these groceries and saved about $34. It really doesn't look like I got that much for $30,but there were a few things like the baby food($6.50-had 2 coupons), cheese($5.50), and cottage cheese that weren't on sale.
Ok, I just read back through the last paragraph, and now I'm getting a little worried. I really think I've lost it! I really do have a life. I just find it fun now to find good deals.

Hi Shayna!
I came across your blog through Mindy's and found myself reading every single one of your posts since you started blogging. I sat here at my computer first crying with tears of sadness for what you went through with Josiah and then tears of joy for the incredible blessing of your little Mia. Thank you for sharing your story, your faith and strength is so inspiring!
Now on a blogging note, I too am obsessed with the same money saving blogs and websites! It is so fun to see how much you have saved at each trip with coupons!
Take Care!

Mia is beautiful! I somehow found your blog and love reading it.
I too love to save money. I had to laugh when you said that's what people who have a blog and they shop they take pictures. LOL I have some of that on my blog too!!
Blessings,
Angie
