Enjoying the sun during the last days of summer!
Trying to get a picture of Mia's hair. :) I spiked it, but it's hard to tell in these pictures.
Here's a better picture of the spike!
The first pictures that I took with my new camera caught this full roll in action! All the way from tummy to back to tummy again. I knew the camera was going to be put to good use!
It's funny how 2 months ago I wrote that Mia was on the brink of sitting on her own, and she's still basically at the same place. :) She can sit for awhile on her own, but not an extended period of time. Mia doesn't like to practice sitting because every time I put her on the floor, she immediately goes to her tummy and starts army crawling.
We call this Mia's bitter beer face! She seems to do this when her teeth are bothering her. Well, at least the teeth that are coming in. Still no teeth above the surface yet.
This picture is actually a funny story, but probably won't sound as funny to anyone else but me! :) It was kind of one of those "you had to be there" moments, but I'll do my best. You can't really get the full picture either with Mia sitting in the car seat. Oh well...here goes! Maco dressed Mia for the day. He put her in a dress and called me because he couldn't find the little underroos(they come with the dress)that cover the diaper. I told him not to worry about them, thinking that normally dresses cover the diaper anyway, so it wouldn't be a big deal. He took her to our friends' house and then was on his way to Marna's. I ran into them on the way to Marna's and got out of the car to give Mia a kiss. When I did, I noticed that she wasn't wearing a dress, she was wearing a tank top!:) Maco thought he had put her in a dress, but really it was a short tank top with no bottoms. It was pretty funny to me! Poor Mia was just looking up at me wondering what on earth was wrong as I was laughing hysterically at her. Hopefully I didn't give her a complex! Definitely a story for the baby book.
Storytime at the library
Mia isn't quite sure what to think of the bubbles as we sing the hello song!
Mia meets Auntie Albany for the first time!
Mia & Cousin Susan
Mia meets Auntie Jeannie for the first time, too!
Mia's first Union football game....out to pizza with the fam. before the game.
Mia giving high fives to all the students before the game started! Go, Titans!!
She had to sport her Union basketball sweater for the game!
Cheering at the game wore her out, so we left at half time! Couldn't mess with the bedtime....I did let her stay up a little late. She's now been to basketball, football, and volleyball games. She seems to enjoy them all!
First time in the big bathtub without the baby bath.
First day at Kindermusik class. I won free tuition for a semester of the class. It was a savings of almost $150!! We go every Tuesday for 45 minutes. The class is from newborn to 1 1/2 years. The other kids are around a year old, so Mia is the youngest. She just watched and took it all in as usual!
We finally made applesauce and Mia can't wait to eat it! I'm really not sure about this "domestic" stuff. Selene and I spent almost 3 hours peeling, cooking, pureeing, and canning. And that only got us FOUR jars of applesauce. Man!! Not really sure if it's all worth it.:) I might as well just buy my $1.50 applesauce at the store and save myself some time and energy.
Trying to fast forward time again!! Mia's wearing Auntie Kelly's engagement ring. Mia loved the sparkles!!
Mia is a crawling machine now. She hasn't gotten up on her knees yet, but she is army crawling all over the house. She just wants to move everywhere and anywhere.(Yes, I know there's a lot of videos, but I'm appeasing Auntie Katie who doesn't get to see it in person!!)
First time eating puffs and using her pincer to pick them up!
Even made it into her mouth, although sometimes they'd just get stuck in her fist, and she couldn't figure out where they went!
Mia wanted to support Uncle Josh and the Washougal Panthers, so we went to his football game last Friday night.
She was so chill....She just sat on the grass with me for about an hour, barely making a sound, soaking it all in!
Holly & Fernando's wedding reception. (Selena, me, Tharen, Holly, Brianne, & Anni) These are all girls from college. I know it's a rarity that a blog picture doesn't have Mia in it, but I guess once in awhile is alright! :)
Holly & Fernando. Not the best angle for the photo, especially since you can't really see Fernando, but I wanted to include the beautiful couple for all to see! They are such sweet people!!
The mariacchi(no clue how to spell it and too lazy to look it up!) band played all through the night! It was quite a treat!
Auntie Kelly's 29th birthday dinner! Mia wore an outfit with horses on it in honor of Auntie's favorite animal.
Papa and Mia
Auntie Kelly & Future Uncle Ryan
Papa thought it was fun have Mia suck on a lime.
Kelly's future mother-in-law, Robin!
Mia is quite ticklish now, so we have fun torturing her!
Uncle Quinn and Mia
Past Mia's bedtime!
Mia loves playing Peak A Boo!( You can pause the music on the music player on the right side of the screen if you want.)
Mia has started babbling all the time. She says "mama" all day long! I love it!
