I think my most favorite moment of the day with Mia is when I go in to her bedroom to get her up in the morning! I absolutely love it! Normally she'll wake up around 8am and just talk to herself or sing until I go in to get her. When I go in, she looks up and gives the biggest smile. It's precious!!
Mia is almost sitting on her own! She can sit for a little while, but eventually falls over. I think it will be very soon that she can sit for a long time without falling over!
Mia, Hil, Erika, and I walked(ran a little bit! :)) an 8K run/walk for Emmanuel Children's Hospital a few weeks ago. The race was right in the middle of Mia's nap time, so she slept the entire time!
Relaxin' on a hot summer day!!
Maco made a video of himself for Mia to watch each day while he was in Africa. This is a picture of Mia watching the video! She was so happy to see her daddy! It was too cute!
We made a special package of pictures and notes for each day Maco was in Africa. This was one of the pictures that we sent!
Naked time!!
Mia went to her first triathlon at Blue Lake Park this month. We went to support our friends, Amy and Steph. We had a great time watching them compete. I was so inspired, that I decided I should train for one. Not a big one, but a sprint triathlon! I thought I'd better mention it on the blog so I'd really do it. Next August is the date! We'll see if I stay motivated!! You all have to keep me accountable!!
Amy & Mia
I just had to include this picture!! :) It makes me laugh!
Hiding in her laundry basket!
Maco is back from Africa!! Mia was so excited to see him. Even though I'm the sleep Nazi, I let her stay up late to pick up Maco from the airport! :) Aren't I nice? I hope to post some of Maco's pictures from his trip, but it's not working yet. He had an amazing time and would love to share if anyone's interested!
Help!!!! Daddy attack!!
He brought back a drum for Mia! She basically just wanted to eat it!
If Mia's not playing with her feet while she's eating, she's rubbing her hands together in front of her eyes like this. Too cute!
In her Oregon crawling gear from the Jones Family! The bottoms say "Crawling Team"!(Not crawling quite yet. Lots of scooting on her belly and "swimming".)
While Maco was in Africa, Mia and I spent 5 days in Tacoma with the Inversos. Here's Siri and Ellie(3 weeks old).
While in Tacoma we re-connected with my college friend, Katie. Her daughter, Anna, is just 6 weeks younger than Mia. It was great seeing Katie after about 5 years and having our daughters meet each other!
We also met up with another college friend and tennis teammate, Janel. Here is a picture of her daughter, Nora, and Siri.
Hanging out with Uncle Cole at game night the night before Auntie Katie left for Chicago.
We're going to miss Katie this year while she's gone, but are excited about all the opportunities she has been blessed with!
Uncle Quinn and his girlfriend, Brittney, came to see Katie off, too!
Mia has loved all the food that I've given her so far. We started off with veggies. So far she's had sweet potatoes, squash, avocado, and peas. She's a great eater! We'll start the fruit next week. I've been making Mia's baby food, which has been fun and very inexpensive. We'll see how long it lasts!!
Starting early!!
I have a very similar picture with Dad when I was little.
Mia is definitely Daddy's little girl! She lights up every time he enters the room! I love the relationship they have!! It's so sweet!
At the park with Steph and Olivia(10 months old)!
Mia has just discovered her toes and will suck on them whenever possible! Check out the video in a previous post of videos. It's pretty funny!
Even in the swing!
5 1/2 month pictures taken by Betsy!
FYI- Just ordered the SLR camera, so I'm ready to take my photography to a whole new level!! Watch out, Mia!!!
Mia had her 6 month appt. today! She still remains a skinny little thing! She weighs 14 lb, 3 oz and is 25 3/4 inches tall.
Waiting eagerly for her shots!!
Below is a series of monthly pictures of Mia.
