In Loving Memory of Great-Grandpa Kaady(October 6, 1921-April 4, 2008)

March 9, 2008- The proud Great-G'pa
(This was our last picture taken of Grandpa. Isn't it precious?)

Mia's Great-Grandpa Kaady passed away peacefully in his sleep last Friday. Even though Grandpa was 86 years old, it came as a surprise to most of us. Grandpa was a wonderful man with a beautiful heart and true love for everyone he came in contact with.

Grandpa's funeral was today, and it was a great day spent with family. In the morning, we had the funeral and burial. So many wonderful memories were shared at the funeral. I'm continually amazed at the gift Maco has for speaking so eloquently and passionately from his heart. At the funeral, he spoke on behalf of the grandkids and also gave the closing prayer. He did a wonderful job. Many of us got to hear our cousin, Tyler, sing for the first time. And let me tell you.....it was unbelievable! Words can't describe how special it was. He inherited quite a gift from Grandpa.

After the burial, we had a yummy meal back at the church prepared by the generous church members. Then everyone went to Auntie Jane and Uncle Hugo's house for some more family time to play one of Grandpa's favorites.....Yahztee! Even though it was a difficult day, it was also very joyous. We got to spend much needed time with family. We also rejoice in knowing that Grandpa is now walking beside Jesus, holding hands with his beloved wife, and carrying our son, Josiah! Grandpa, we'll miss you, but we look forward to the day we'll all be reunited in the Kingdom of Heaven! We love you!

February 24, 2008-Mia's birth

Three days before Grandpa passed away he bought this bib and a Jumperoo for Mia. When I see them sitting in our family room, it makes me smile thinking of Grandpa's generosity and love for Mia.

All the Kaady cousins and spouses(except Ryan)

All the Kaady siblings and spouses

Auntie Eileen & Michaela get to hold Mia for the very first time! I think certain people, who will remain nameless, have been menopolizing the time with Mia. :)

Can Ang get Mia to smile??

How sweet is this? Cousins holding hands!

Maco and Shayna,

Thank you soooo much for the updates as well as the photos. She is so angelic. Get a photo of her with the pacifier in her mouth. Shayna, you're so right. Maco has a calling talking and ministering to people. I was so proud and blessed to have heard him speak.

Blessings,
Your cousin, Susan
