Kauai here we come!!! Our belated 20th anniversary trip- right before our 21st anniversary!!
We have arrived!
Quick stop at the beach at our hotel before naps after traveling since 330am!
We love staying in condos so we can make our own meals! First morning-german pancake breakfast in bed courtesy of Maco!
Started most of our days with a game of pickleball! Maco beat me almost every time!
These roosters have taken over the island and have no predators!!!
21 weeks!
Rode bikes along the ocean for a couple hours!
Stopped to chill by the water for a bit!
Spent the afternoon at Baby Beach!
My first ever Thai tea! Had to try it!

I had been waiting months for this special treat! The REAL shaved ice! comes with fresh fruit, sweetened condensed milk, natural flavoring and ice cream! It was so delicious!! Since I've been back I've been on the hunt for an authentic Hawaiian shaved ice place locally to no avail!! Boo!

Part way up!

Through Maco's shortcut that wasn't really a shortcut!
So beautiful!
We made it! Much quicker on the way back down!
Tunnel of trees!
Baby Beach

Another Gibson recommendation- Keokis! An amazing slice of Hula Pie!! It was gigantic and soooo good!!
The mountain we hiked!
Hanalei Bay-up north-so pretty, but we decided to go to another beach instead of hanging out there.
Picked this spot for the afternoon-Anini Beach- windy and sun kept coming and going. Water isn't that warm either, so we didn't spend much time in water! Maco prefers sitting in the grass over the sand!
