Fun in February!

Kyrie loves having Sissy paint his nails, but he always wants it off about a minute later!

Making cupcakes for Daddy's birthday!

Happy 36th Birthday, Daddy! We are getting old!

I can't remember what was so funny, but love this picture of Mia's pure joy!

So thankful for this daddy/husband in our lives!

Movie time with the neighbors on a snow day!

Mia hasn't worn pants all year, so I had to take a picture of the day she asked to wear a pair to school!

The first of a lot of snow and days off from school!

Bible time with Daddy on a snow day!

Sledding with friends on our street!

Kyrie preferred to eat all the snow!

The snow day continues with a movie and lunch in a tent at the neighbors' house! I love our street!

The girls decided to have their own fun without the boys! I had to post this picture because Mia has never sat this close to a dog! She is getting a lot more comfortable with dogs thankfully!

I had the wonderful fortune to get away during the snow for a weekend visiting my sweet friend, Janae, in Vegas all by myself! We had so much fun belting out all the songs at the Boys to Men concert in the 10th row!

It was awesome!

So thankful to spend time with this wonderful woman!

Two of her gorgeous kiddos!

Mia wanted to wear Kyrie's 2T suit! Can't believe the pants fit in the waist with no problem!

Happy valentine's day! Daddy was out of town for basketball on V-day, so we had our own special V-day breakfast and finished it off that evening with a trip to Arizona to see Papa & Yaya!

On our way to AZ!!

Since I like to get their super early, there is always time for an ice cream cone while we wait.

So excited for our trip!

Loving the 80 degree weather, which was a first for us! It's normally in the high 60's/low 70's when we go in Jan/Feb. Loved the heat!

Ready for our first day of adventures!

We went to a train park!

Riding the train around the park!

Kyrie wasn't so sure on the merry-go-round, so I joined the kids!

Tour inside the train!

So many trains and of course Kyrie's favorite was Thomas!

Another train ride!

All Kyrie wanted to do was go in the pool! Unfortunately, it's not heated, so too cold. But the kids made the best of it!

Kyrie was lovin' his quality time with Papa & Yaya!

Shopping at the flea market for Mia's birthday!

Mia was thrilled to pick out this roller suitcase!

Sportin' her new birthday goodies!

And no Arizona trip would be complete without many rides on the golf cart!

Park time fun!

On a sunset golf cart ride to find javelinas, Mia decided she wanted to lay and look at the beautiful sky!

Loved these pictures of the sky!

Construction time! We built the bird house, and then Mia got to paint it!

Day #3 was spent at the Jambo Indoor theme park!

The kids had a blast going on rides!

Mia's favorite thing was the roller coaster! She went on it about 5 times and just laughed hysterically the entire time! Kyrie wasn't so sure about it, so his one ride was good! Although I don't think it helped that he was continually getting smashed by Mia the entire time they were going around!

Kyrie liked the swings!

Mia was so happy when Papa won 104 bonus tickets!!

Even played a little mini golf!

Day #4 was spent at the new community park that was built at the Cubs spring training facility! It just opened a couple weeks prior and was so fun!

The kids had a blast!

So apparently Kyrie has been a just a few basketball games! :) Neither Maco or I taught him this, he just did the wiping of the feet on his own! Even though he missed the shot, I had to include it on the blog! ;)

Birthday Blazer game with Daddy! She had so much fun!

Mia loved waking up to all the birthday decorations!

Special birthday breakfast of crepes on our special plate that my mom used to use for our special days!

Finally after waiting all day, Mia got to open gifts before dinner!

Kyrie picked out a special card for Sissy!

He even chose these special flowers for Mia and the ball....but I think the ball was kinda for him! Mia close to wear this special birthday dress that Daddy brought back from Africa for her last April!

Waiting for her Sofia Magazine in the mail!

Family dinner at Mia's favorite spot, The Old Spaghetti Factory!

Mia loved when the waitstaff sang to her!

American Girl doll gifts!

And she was in Heaven when he got some clip on earrings from Sittee! She couldn't stop smiling and laughing!

Mia was thrilled to get a matching doll outfit from Mommy & Daddy!

Mommy/Son date to ice cream after preschool open house!

He loves the "thumbs up" sign, but doesn't quite have it figured out!

My little packing helpers! We went up to Tacoma for Daddy's game against UPS. I basically just kept out a suitcase for about 3 weeks with all the traveling this month!

Mia loved giving hugs to Emily!

Mia and Kyrie got to help Daddy hand out the roses to the players on Senior night! They loved it!

For some reason I had a hard time getting a non blurry picture, but had to include this one of Kyrie giving the rose to the wife of the player.

All the seniors! All in all it was a good first season for Maco and George Fox! They finished one game out of the playoffs in 5th place. Here is part of a weekly email he sends out to the Bruin alumni with a season recap:

Well our first season under my leadership has officially come to an end.  We finished the week 2-1 needing to go 3-0 to clinch a spot in the NWC tournament.  After winning a must win game at home versus Lewis & Clark on Tuesday, we were defeated Friday night in OT at Puget Sound 115-112 in a game that sealed our post-season fate.

All in all we finished the year 16-9 overall and 9-7 in conference.  Below are some statistical highlights from my first season:
  • We had the 3rd best start in school history at 8-1
  • Our 16-9 overall record was the best in nine years
  • Sean Atkins and AJ Grant earned First Team All-NWC; while Spencer Bolte was named to the Second Team.  Our (3) all-conference members was more than any other school in the conference
  • We had the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th leading scorers in our conference
  • We scored over 100 points four times and over 90 points 12 times
  • Nationally, we were 6th in PPG (88.5), 5th in three-point FGs made (255); 5th in three-point FGs per game (10.2); 11th in three-point FG attempts (670), and we finished in the top 50 in FG% (48%) and Assists per game (15.6)
  • In our conference we were 1st in scoring, FG%, assists, three-point FGs per game, three-point FG attempts and makes, and three-point FG % (38%)

Maco is now focusing on the recruiting aspect of the job and hoping to get some great young men into the program! We are loving having him home more now and I'm happy having a nightly partner again, since he really hasn't been home for dinner any nights other than Sundays for 4 months!

Grandpa, Sittee, and Kyrie cheering on the Bruins for their last home game vs Willamette, which we won!

Motorcycle fun!

After all this snow, it was nice getting a break from the cold and wet with some sun! Kyrie and I visited the park, but it sure was windy and cold still!

Love all the deer in our yard this time of year!

This is how we do family nights.....all squished together on the couch cheering on the Bruin women in their playoff game!

This is hard to hear, but a fun little chant between my boys!

Mia got to celebrate at a classmate's birthday at a local horse arena!

She got to groom the horse, which was a huge breakthrough for her because she has been terrified of horses for awhile.

And she even rode the horse, which I've been waiting for years!

Mia has her first loose tooth! It's been hanging on for 3 weeks!
