We were blessed to get free tickets to the Clark County Fair this year, so we took advantage and spent the afternoon there with the Zimmers, Neslands, and Rybars! It was a very hot day, but Mia had a lot of fun checking exploring everything!
(Man, I’m glad that’s not my behind in the picture! Good thing I don’t know this person, or they wouldn’t be very happy with me!)
Josiah is way braver than Mia!
Checking out the 4H sheep contest….not sure exactly what it’s called…definitely not my area of expertise! ;)
Mia actually went on a ride; of course it had to be the car ride! I didn’t think she’d actually go, so of course I asked the guy before hand if we could get our tickets back if she didn’t actually go. Didn’t want to waste my $3! She got in and absolutely loved it! It was funny because she had a whole cheering section of all of our friends because they all understood what a big deal this was! Gotta love it!
Enjoying their ice cream cones….until the very tall man on stilts asked if he could have Mia’s cone….and she about had a heart attack. But in all the commotion of Mia trying to jump out of the stroller into Tammi’s arms, she of course held on to her ice cream cone. I wish I had a picture, it was hilarious!
Mia and I joined the Inversos, family, and friends for an ovarian cancer walk in memory and honor of Tharen’s sweet and wonderful mom, Shirley. I’m really glad that Mia and I were able to join them in the walk this year. It was a very special time, and I look forward to next year!
One of my besties, Tharen!
After the walk, we got to enjoy(and I use that word loosely!:)) the Gladstone parade. Of course, the kids loved it! They just stood there and collected candy the entire time. But let’s just say that ANYONE can be in this parade……Mr. Roto Rooter(not just one van, but about 4!), a lady driving a small car….I can’t even remember what other weird ones because they were not very memorable at all! Let’s just say it’s definitely not going to have a leg to stand on compared to the Rose Parade!
My attempt of trying to get a picture with a non-compliant Mia!
More candy please!!
How much do I have?? I need more!
I was so happy that Mia and I were able to make a quick trip up to Tacoma to see one of my best friend’s, Betsy, have her second baby this month.(Bets, don’t hate me for including this pic, but it’s a memory. Mia’s first time visiting someone while in labor! I know I’m ridiculous!)
Mia hung with all the other kids while waiting for the baby to be born!
Mia gets a good look……and she’s only about an hour old! She’s never met a baby this young before!
Emily Elizabeth Miller….so sweet and precious!
Of course all Mia wanted to do was hold Emily. This was the best picture(even though I look like Cousin It) I could get of Mia holding Emily because my battery died immediately after.:(
Mia got to celebrate her great friend May’s 2nd birthday this month!
Lovin’ her some May and ice cream!
Already struggling to walk in the high heels!
Unfortunately(or fortunately, however you look at it) I didn’t take that many pictures this month. I also left my camera at a friend’s house and probably have more pictures on it, so I’ll just have to share those later. I didn’t want to wait any longer on getting this August post up, since it is 4 days into September! I’m getting so bad at this blogging thing! I will try to do better!
