Getting closer to 2….23 Months!

Well, here we are…..one month before Mia turns two! I can’t believe it’s almost here. We have been so busy these past couple of months, and Mia has been taking it all in stride as always. Mia’s weeks consist of Baby Boot Camp workout classes, hanging out with Sittee while I sub, babysitting Baby Eli, play dates, storytime, playing at home, trips to OMSI and the Children’s Museum, watching Yo, Gabba Gabba!(only once a day for all of you that are worried!) :), Daddy’s b-ball games, b-ball practices, hanging with Auntie while I tutor, spending as much time as possible with Daddy, and getting lots of sleep! She is such a trooper and loving it all! Mia continues to talk up a storm.  It is so much fun having conversations with her and being able to understand what she needs. She loves to run, jump, and climb on anything that we’ll let her, which isn’t a lot of things! ;) She loves music, and her two favorite songs are “Happy Birthday” & “Jingle Bells”. I am just simply amazed as to what an almost two year old can do and learn. They really are little sponges! Most recently Mia has begun coming up to everyone, hugging their legs and telling them she loves them, completely out of the blue. It is wonderful and one of my favorite things she does!New Years eve-day 002

New Year’s Eve: We’ve been trying to get to Omsi and The Children’s Museum as much as possible now that we have the memberships. Mia took her friend, Cha Cha, and had a lot of fun! Anyone want to come with us, we can get you in free!! ;)

New Year’s Eve party at Baby Eli’s house! We played games, watched movies, and hung out, all while the kids slept upstairs. We even had a slumber party! It was fun, but I definitely missed Maco.  He was on his way to California for the Rose bowl! This was the first New Year’s Eve that we’ve been apart since 1996, the year we first started dating! New Year’s Eve isn’t a huge deal to us, but it was definitely different not having him around at midnight! :)

Mia loves taking her new backpack to Daddy’s basketball games. It is pretty cute watching her stroll it across the court.

Mia loves to help me put things together.  Anything that has a buckle, clip, screw, bolt, or anything of the like, she’s right there trying to figure it out!

Night-night! Mia loves to lay on the floor anywhere and go night-night! And I mean ANYWHERE!! She’ll even do it in the middle of the basketball court after Maco’s games! :)
