I read about this really cute birthday tradition, so I thought it would be fun to adopt it into our family! On Valentine's Day, we went to Earth, Glaze, and Fire so Mia could paint her very own birthday plate. Then each year we will use it for her birthday dinner, breakfast, or cake! As you can see, we thought it would be really fun to come during her nap time!!
I'm ready!!! Where are the brushes????
Hmmm......what do I do with this???
I know.....eat it!!!!
All ready to go in my painting apron!
One last kiss from Mommy before we start!
Let's try finger painting the plate! Well, that didn't work very well. Mia just ate the paint. Don't worry(Grandparents!!) it's non-toxic, and we decided to try the brush!
So, Daddy stepped in to help show Mia how to paint!!
As you can see from the video, I'm not sure how much of the painting is actually from Mia. I know that she did at least paint for a few seconds!
Daddy putting on the finishing touches writing, "Happy Birthday, Mia!"
The finished product before being fired! Not the best picture. We'll take another when I get it back this week! We had a great time as a family on this special day!

Shayna, that is a great idea! The video was adorable. I love Mia's Valentine dress...so sweet! And Maco's sweatshirt...NICE (I am quite certain my husband has one just like it lol).
