The last week has been quite an exciting one for the Union Titans! I thought I'd try and give you all a little taste of the excitement!!
For the last home game of the year against the crosstown rival Camas HS, some parents and fans wore "Just Sprint" shirts in honor of Maco's player, Ryan. He was in a sledding accident a couple of years ago, and is now in a wheelchair. He is an honorary captain and comes to all practices and sits on the bench for games. A few weeks back, the Columbian did a really nice article about Ryan and the story behind "Just Sprint". I wanted Mia to show her support for Ryan, and this was the best I could come up with!
Celebrating after Union's first district playoff win against Prairie!! The Titans had beaten Prairie in two prior meetings, both in overtime. So I was happy when this game ended with a win in regulation, although I still had about 4 ulcers by the end of the game!!

The game was at 8, so it was a late night for Mia....already in her pj's, happy about the big win!!

The Titans were definitely the underdog going into this game!!
CR's player(#34) is about 6'10'' I think. The Titans did a great job holding him to only 2 baskets. He also fouled out of the game with about 2 minutes to go, which was a huge break for the Titans!!
The fans are hungry for the championship!
Down by 2 at the beginning of the 4th quarter. The Titans trailed the entire game and were down by as much as 11 in the 3rd quarter.

Way to go, Union!!!! On to regionals!!! We even have a home game because we won districts, which is very exciting. So if you're in the area, come watch the Titans play their first ever regional b-ball game at 7pm on Feb. 26th at Hudson's Bay HS!! It's going to be exciting. If they win, they make it to state!!! Wish us luck!(Yes, I said us because I am a part of the team!!)

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! How fun! You did a great job with the "recap" Mrs. Head Coach! ;) I'm not sure I get the regional step, because for us, once we win tomorrow night, we're going to state! So, is that just because you guys are a bigger school/league? Anyway, good luck and I'll be praying! P.S. Mia's hair looks soooo light in some of those pictures!
