Super Coupon Girl "tagged" all of her faithful readers, so I thought I would participate in the game.(I always did love a good game of tag in elementary school!)
Check out Super Coupon Girl's website to see how she only spends $20 a month on groceries. Yes, I said $20!!! Now, she doesn't have kids, but she does have dinner parties and also likes to eat organic....Yes, Selene, you can buy organic with coupons, at least she can! And she only started doing this "coupon thing" a year ago! She truly is my couponing inspiration!! :)
Here's how it works:
1. Link the tagger and provide the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blogs.
So, here goes(as if anyone really cares, but this is what I do after the family's gone to bed).
1. Maco and I had our first date almost 12 years ago!! We were only 18! We just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this past July.
2. My favorite holiday is Christmas! My mom and grandma were Christmas fanatics, and I think it rubbed off on me. I will do ANYTHING Christmasy. This includes going to the Singing Christmas Tree at a local church(which is practically the same every year), putting up garland and Christmas lights on our house by myself(up a very tall ladder), listening to Christmas CD's beginning on Thanksgiving(I would start earlier, but I have an agreement with Maco), and Christmas caroling around the school with my students. Basically, if I am invited to a Christmas event, I will be do everything possible to attend! So, invite away!(Except your Christmas party, Christine.....You're probably not even reading this anyway!) :)
3. I am a SUCKER for reality TV!! I will watch anything that has to do with "real" people. I even watch Big Brother, which records people trapped in a house for 3 months, doing crazy challenges like jumping in gigantic bowls of spaghetti!! (Only in America!!)
Speaking of reality TV, my biggest dream was to be on American Idol(my favorite reality show). I love to sing, and my poor daughter has to listen to it all the time these days (I seem to make everything into a song!) Unfortunately, I didn't desire to be yelled at by Simon telling me how horrible my voice was, so I never tried out. I've always told my students that if I wasn't a teacher, I'd want to be a Christian recording artist. I'd need A LOT of training, like more than money could buy! So, since I knew it wasn't going to be a reality for me, I've always begged my sister, Katie, to tryout, but no no avail! Kate, you still have about 5 years left for AI! Come on.....PLEASE!
4. I HATE competition.......and I've played probably every sport known to woman.....and even played tennis all the way through college. Maco used to make fun of me(not nice, I know) because he says(and I really don't ever remember doing this) that I've been known to apologize to my tennis opponents when ever I'd hit a good shot or a "winner", as we like to call it in tennis!!
5. I'm training to run a half marathon. I've just begun the training, so hopefully I can continue once I begin running longer distances. I am DEFINITELY not a runner and never have been. In fact, this past summer I laughed in someone's face(Sorry, Tharen!!) when she even brought up the ridiculous idea. Some of my friends at Baby Boot Camp are running the Vancouver Lake half marathon on January 25th(Great way to celebrate my 31st birthday!), so I thought I would join in the fun! Wish me luck!
6. I LOVE to scrapbook!! I would love to turn my passion into a business someday, but for now it just remains a dream. Right now I'm attempting to make 2 scrapbooks(a 2008 family book and a book for Mia....I'm actually on Mia's second book. The first book was memories of the pregnancy, showers, and her birth. Now I'm working on her first year book. I just hope I can fit the whole first year in one book. I may have to do a 0-6 month book and a 6-12 month book. I'm not really sure how a baby can have that many pictures. Actually I can......she has a picture crazy mom!) It's a little overwhelming, so I may have to drop the family scrapbook in 2009. If we're blessed to have more children someday, it would be very difficult to create 3 or 4 scrapbooks at a time! You never know, maybe I'll be very ambitious! Although, if I had to predict now, I'd have to say NOT HAPPENING!
7. My favorite genre to read is mystery! I love suspense! It keeps me wanting to read more.
Ok, so I'm not tagging anyone specific because I'm not a big name in the blogging world. But if you have a blog and you'd like to take time(at 11:30pm at night) and tell the world 7 facts about yourself, then Tag.......You're It!!
