This week we went on our first family vacation to visit Mia's great grandparents in Bend. Maco and I hadn't been over to visit since we've been married, so it was nice to finally visit. We had a great time relaxing and spending time together as a family and getting to spend more time with my grandparents.
First time in her high chair. We started having Mia sit at the table with us while we ate, so she could get used to the idea.
Great Grandma gave Mia a gold chain to wear when she's older. Thank you!! She'll treasure it forever!
Mia and Freddy were fast friends!
I tried to capture a roll in these 6 pictures. It was hard with my camera's delay. Since I'm such a picture freak, I think I'm getting a new camera that takes multiple pictures per second, so I can capture special moments like these. The new camera will definitely be put to good use!!
At the Deschutes River
First time sitting in her stroller without the car seat. I just wanted to try it out and see how she did. She had a little leaning problem.
Mia fell asleep before Grandma and I could get home from our walk.
On our way to the pool for the first time! Unfortunately we picked the day that wasn't very warm, but we made the best of it.
First time in a swimming pool. Mia didn't cry, so I'm assuming she didn't hate it. Although, she didn't smile either. :) (There's a video of Mia in the pool in a previous post.)
Mia had just woken up in this picture.
Mia's just discovered her feet.
Mia is on the brink of sitting up on her own. She's sitting for a few seconds before toppling over! I have a feeling it will be soon.
Mia had a wonderful time with her great- grandparents this week!
G & G, thank you for letting us come and visit! We loved our time with you both!
Maco, my sister, and our friends leave for Africa on the 26th. They are going to build a sport court in Uganda. I'd really appreciate your prayers for their safe travel. I'm a little nervous about the trip. I have a lot of things planned while they're gone so that Mia and I can stay busy! We'll be taking a trip up to Tacoma to visit the Inversos for a few days. My friend Amy is coming to visit next weekend. We're also going to the zoo, storytime, Baby Bootcamp, hanging out with family and friends, and anything else we can to pass the time. I know it's going to be difficult for Maco to be away from Mia, but Africa is definitely a trip of a lifetime. We hope to be able to go again as a family someday!
Driving at the gas station on the way home from Bend.
