Mia's 2nd Week of life!

Can we say "Little Maco"? :)

I thought I'd include a picture to show you all that I don't put a headband on Mia every waking second. :)

 

We see a definite resemblance to Mia's big brother, Josiah!

I have to fight Maco to hold her once he gets home from work!

First trip to the mall. We've become dorky mall-walkers. Mia slept through the entire mall experience. That's probably a good thing.We don't want her becoming addicted to the mall at an early age :) (8 days old)

We are walking machines. Mia's first walk outside with Mommy! (10 days old)

We walked 3 1/2 miles to Erin's house, but had to get a ride home, because Mia was too tired to walk back. :)

Mia loves to give kisses already! I think Maco's worried. He already said that we're not letting her date until she's out of the house.

Kaitlyn is one of my wonderful students. She came down to meet Mia and say goodbye to me before she moved to Florida. I'll miss her a lot!

First little playgroup get-together. Although, poor Cohen basically had to play by himself. These two girls weren't doing much playing. This is Mia's friend, Mikayla. She is 2 weeks older than her.

I had to take a picture of Mia's "I love Grandma" shirt that she got from Sitti Marna.

 

Mia had her 2 week appointment with the pediatrician on Monday. Dr. Vaughn said that Mia looks great. She's gained almost a pound since leaving the hospital and is up to 7 pounds 15 ounces. The goal weight for the 2 week appointment is to have the baby back up to their birth weight, which Mia surpassed. In the picture above, Mia just had her foot pricked for some more testing. She did awesome and barely even cried. The phlebotomist did say that she's very strong. It was hard for her to hold her foot, while collecting the blood. Maco and I definitely know this first hand when we try to change her diapers. :)

Maco tried to keep Mia warm while we waited for Dr. Vaughn. He's so protective! :)
