Hilary and Selene threw such a wonderful shower for Mia! They went way above and beyond my expectations. We had yummy food(with my favorite, ice cream cake), played fun games, and had great fellowship. I loved it and feel very blessed to have such caring friends.
(PS. Since I love pictures, I have a hard time narrowing down for the blog. So....since Kelly took over 70 pictures at the shower, this is what I came up with. Hope you don't mind. )
Tami (friend from childhood)
Darcy & Becky (Teaching partners)
Hil made some gourmet food! It was sooo good!
The guests had to create a picture of what Mia will look like when she's born. They used clippings of facial features from magazines. It was hilarious and a difficult choice for the judge(ME!). Some were not so cute, so they obviously weren't going to win!
It was a tough choice, but in the end I had to choose the picture of toddler Mia, created by Jamie and Auntie Kelly. :)
We also played a game where you had to find certain objects in your purse. This was also very fun. People got quite competitive....(Tharen-Just to clear up any misunderstanding, I did pull out the stamp before you.:)) My team even won thanks to the eating utensil in my purse. Never knew it would come in handy in more ways than one.
My favorite, cookies and cream ice cream cake. I haven't had an ice cream cake since my childhood birthdays. I loved it!
Now Mia and I can be twins in our matching velour outfits. If she's anything like me, she'll wear a velour outfit just about every day she can.
Auntie Kelly was so excited for her "Auntie Kelly's Little Princess" onesie for Mia. She knows how much I LOVE princess attire(I'm just kidding, just in case you all were going to run out and get Mia tons of princess accessories). I'm sure this shirt will find it's way on to Mia every time Kelly comes over to babysit.
Becky, Tracey, Erin, & Nicki
We had to get one side shot of the belly.
Erin & Tracey (Friends from church)Tracey's due to have her baby girl in two weeks, so we've had a fun time going through pregnancy together.
Tharen & Betsy(Friends from college)
Auntie Katie
Auntie Kelly, Jamie & Jen(My second family)
Ella, & Brayden(Jamie's kids)
Stephanie & Tami
Sandi(My second mom growing up)
The guests all had the opportunity to hold a candle for Mia and say something to her or give me some advice. Everyone had such sweet things to say. We'll put the candle in Mia's room, so she can be surrounded by all the good messages from everyone. This was one of my favorite times during the shower.
Once again, everyone was very generous. We got so many great things for Mia to use. I can't wait to use every one of them. :)

My goodness, there can't be much more that you need. If you get anything else Mia won't have any space to sleep or play in her room.
I was so excited to get on the website today and see all the great pics from your shower...happy belated bday by the way! Looks like a really great time...I really wish I could have been there
We're anxious to see Mia on "Mia's" wwebsite! Have fun washing baby clothes!
I am so sad I wasn't able to be there...it looks like you had a fantastic time! I have a gift for you that I need to drop off...I'll call you to see when you're available.
